After taking C down for BM biopsy this morning, but before they had started, we got back his results from a head CT from last night. He has some brain bleeding. They immediately moved him to ICU. He has a smaller bleed on the left side and a larger one on the right. They are called subdural hematomas. They are not in the brain. They are in the area between the brain and the lining - to keep it simple. They are increasing his platelets to get them significantly higher before doing surgery to evacuate the right side. They will only be doing the craniotomy on the right one. They will monitor the left one. His surgery is at noon tomorrow. It should take about an hour. It looks like they will still be doing his bone marrow biopsy (now bedside without anesthesia) later this afternoon or this evening. They would like to get the results of that. He is coherent and interactive - albeit demonstrably slower cognitively. Still himself, just a notably slower version. But he’s still managing sarcasm and sass! As he said, this is just one of the challenges we knew was eventually coming. He ate some sherbet and is asleep right now. So we please ask for all hands/hearts on deck, not only his bone marrow results, but for his surgery tomorrow. ❤️

I am so sorry for the ongoing challenges but continue to be inspired by your strength and sense of humor. Please be assured that I am storming heaven for healing and peace of mind ! Love you both so very much,MJ
