Not so fast.... (Lee Corso reference 🏉)

Hey guys! Well, cancer likes to keep us on our toes. There are two tests that are done with a bone marrow biopsy. One is preliminary, and one is more detailed pathology that identifies residual abnormal cells in the BM. We didn’t get a completely clear biopsy. That would have been the most ideal outcome, but we like challenges. 🤔 so, we are anxious to get the more detailed results (hopefully this afternoon) to see exactly what remains. Holiday-eve isn’t ideal, but we know our doctor is hounding Pathology. So that’s where we sit. Regardless of the specifics of addt’l testing, we now give it about a week to see what his numbers do on their own (pausing on the cell reproduction process for now). We are tentatively scheduled for another bone marrow biopsy next Monday, but that might change during the course of the next few days and his numbers. Honestly, a lot of it is a sit around and wait game. Wish we had more to report, but we don’t. Please give a shoutout to your deity of choice that this addt’l test will show minimal remaining cells. 🙏🏼 In the meantime, he’s out “Gumpin’” the halls, receiving praise for the obscene amount of bakery goods that just arrived from Craftmark (Ahmad), receiving visitors ❤️, feeling great, weight is holding and appetite is strong, his mama arrives this afternoon, and we generally feel like this mountain to climb might require some extra oxygen and harnesses along the trek, but we got it.
